“ Indonesia Tempoe Doloe”
By : PPIA VIC
Alun-Alun 2019 is an annual event held by PPIA Victoria that brings Indonesian arts and culture as the background of the event. Indonesian food trucks and other entertainments would be provided to increase the interest of Indonesian people in Victoria.
The aim of this event is to welcome new students, as well as to promote Indonesian culture here in Victoria.
Moreover, it also helps to build and strengthen relationships among all PPIA members and supporting parties such as business and communication organisations.
Through art and culture, we also hope that through this event, we would attract the attention of locals as well as introducing them to the beauty of rich Indonesian culture. Indonesia is as a country with many range of cultures and sights among its citizens.
Known for its beautiful nature, Indonesia consists of hundreds of distinct native ethnic and linguistic group with the largest and politically dominant ethnic group being the Javanese.
However, there are still lots of places and culture that are underappreciated and not known from people around the world, so it is with Alun-Alun 2019 that locals in Victoria would be able to further explore the richness of arts and culture owned by Indonesia.
This year, Alun-Alun 2019 will be held at the Indonesian Consulate General with an Indonesian related theme that will be further elaborated.
The event targets visitors ranging from 700 to 1000 people, including both Indonesian and non-Indonesian students in Victoria, as well as the local community.
The event itself will involve PPIA Victoria’s sub-branches, various Indonesian communities, media partner, and voluntary performers.
Valuable yet attractive, PPIA Victoria believes this event would strengthen family ties and maintain strong relationships with the various parties involved in this event.
