Crown Group releases to the public the long-awaited first image of its new Eastlakes town centre development; Eastlakes Live.
The image released today depicts the modern retail and restaurant area in the first stage of the $1-billion redevelopment.
Set to regenerate the neighbourhood and create a vibrant new urban hub, Eastlakes Live will comprise modern residential apartments and a new restaurant and retail precinct; offering residents and neighbours a diverse range of spaces and experiences for interaction or escape.
Stage one of the development will include 134 apartments luxury apartments ranging from one-bedroom apartments to penthouses and 12 retail outlets. Stage two of Eastlakes Live will include a mix of residential and retail components, with details still to come, completing the modern new town centre.
The development site adjoins Eastlakes Reserve and is located 8 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD and 3 kilometres from the University of South Wales, Sydney Airport and Green Square.
Designed by Sydney-based design firm fjmt, Eastlakes Live will be a modern town centre which aims to set a new standard for retail excellence with two major supermarkets fresh food offerings reflecting the diversity of the neighborhood, a restaurant promenade, street cafes, a medical centre, as well as densely landscaped gardens and children’s play areas.
Apartments are designed to maximise stunning views over the Eastlakes Golf Course and Sydney CBD.

Eastlakes Live is inspired by the concept of “bringing together the best of town and country,” envisioned by Richard Francis-Jones, principal of fjmt. With a location in the heart of a swath of greenery – the Eastlakes Golf Course to the southeast and the Eastlakes Reserve to the west – the new image depicts a modern sanctuary for Sydney’s Eastern suburbs.
fjmt’s designs have been awarded some of the industry’s most prestigious awards including; UDIA NSW’s award for Excellence in High Density Development for Anadara, Barangaroo, the City of Sydney Lord Mayor’s Prize for Liberty Place in Sydney, and the NSW Master Builders Award for ‘Public Building’ for The Waterfront Pavilion.
“The new concept for Eastlakes needed to be sympathetic to the local character and yet also create a new and exciting integration of landscape and architecture,” Mr Francis-Jones explained.
“When complete expect the development to be embraced by the broader Sydney community and become a leisure, food and shopping destination in its own right.
“The diversity of the local community will be reinforced and re-energised by new arrivals to a much enriched and enlivened Eastlakes shopping centre,” he said.
The new development draws on the success of Crown Group’s multi-award-winning Top Ryde City Living project which successfully integrated 653 residential apartments and resort-style amenities within seven towers above a modern shopping centre.
Crown Group Director of Sales (Direct) Roy Marcellus said the design of Eastlakes Live responded to need for a revitalised Eastlakes Town Centre.

In 2016, according to ABS data the Eastlakes-Mascot area was the fifth fastest growing region of NSW, growing by 7.9% or 1904 people to a total of 26,099 in the 12 months to June 30 2016.
There are four golf courses within 6 km of the development; The Australian Golf Course, Moore Park Golf Course, The Lakes Golf Course and Botany Golf Course.
“We’ve already had a large number of enquiries for people eager to know more about Eastlakes Live, even before the commencement of our official marketing campaign which kicks off this week,” Mr Marcellus said.
